Due to the thinness of the barrier membrane, the best effect is realized sitting on the device directly touching your bare skin.   Otherwise, using thin underwear or thin leggings, you are still able to realize incredible relief of warming or cooling effects for very long durations while maintaining a clothed condition.  We always recommend putting a towel under the seat - JUST IN CASE!

Most insurances do not recognize contrasting therapy devices as medically necessary.  Although, if you have a chronic condition, then that may change things for your insurance provider.      At the moment we are not HSA/FSA listed, but it is our long term goal.  Due to this fact,  our current business model does not fit with the normal purchase protocols of most insurances.
